The Conference Communications Office manages internal and external communications for the North Georgia Conference—online content, news and resources for leaders, the annual conference session, and media relationships. Over the past year it especially focused on the study and pursuit of unification with the South Georgia Conference. Key tools include the conference website (ngumc.org, up to 30,000 visitors monthly), the "Weekly Update" e-newsletter, and social media (Facebook, Instagram @NGUMC, Vimeo). The office also relates to United Methodist Communications.
Early this year the office bid farewell to longtime communications director Sybil Davidson, who took another denominational position, and welcomed Meghan Walters as the next director of communications.
