Connectional Ministries

Global Ministries & United Methodist Volunteers in Mission (UMVIM) report that in 2025, 19 North Georgia churches sent mission teams in coordination with UMVIM to partner destinations including Belize, Brazil, Costa Rica, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Kenya, and Nicaragua, increasingly using best practices like international team insurance.

North Georgia giving to the General Board of Global Ministries (GBGM) and UMCOR in 2025 was almost $518,000, supporting 18 missionaries directly and over 200 missionaries serving in 60 countries, plus denominational disaster relief. GBGM's Feeding Our Neighbors food grants supported UMC-affiliated food banks and pantries. Current opportunities include serving at the Disaster Ministries warehouse/MissionHub and sending teams to the Augusta Hurricane Helene recovery. Conference Secretaries of Global Ministries: AnnaKate Rawles and Scott Parrish.
