The Professional Administrators of the United Methodist Connectional Structure (PAUMCS) was established in 1982 under the General Council on Finance and Administration to provide members fellowship, individual growth, professional development, continuing education, and spiritual enrichment (Book of Discipline ¶807.19). PAUMCS members serve in local churches, district offices, extension ministries, agencies, and annual conferences. National membership is open to paid administrative professionals and requires certification offered through GCFA, with continuing-education credits to maintain it.
The Georgia Chapter, which includes the North and South Georgia conferences, has not held an in-person conference in recent years but hopes to revive and flourish again. Submitted by LouAnn P. McLain, GA PAUMCS Immediate Past President.
