North Georgia Annual Conference

How it works

Who is a member of Annual Conference

Clergy and lay members, the voting body, and the delegate elections that run through the session.

Book of Discipline ¶32, ¶34

The Annual Conference is composed of clergy members and an equal number of lay members. Each charge elects lay member(s); additional lay members balance the clergy count, and a roster of officers and youth/young-adult representatives is seated as well. Voting membership requires registration (there is a $30 fee for the 2026 session).

This year: delegate elections

The 2026 session elects North Georgia's delegates to the 2028 General Conference and the Southeastern Jurisdictional Conference. Clergy members elect the clergy delegates; lay members elect the lay delegates, in equal number. Balloting runs throughout the session — see Up for a vote → Election of Delegates.
