For Conference Action — Commission on Equitable Compensation.
The Commission brings its guidelines and standards for pastoral support (report 207) for approval, including:
Minimum compensation for clergy and the schedule by category;
The Equitable Compensation Fund, which enables the conference to fulfill the Discipline's mandate of security of appointment — that all appointed clergy receive at least the conference-approved minimum;
Accountable Reimbursement Plan standards;
Housing allowance and parsonage guidelines and minimum standards for church-provided parsonages; and
The conference arrearage policy for churches behind on pastoral support.
The 2027 budget includes an Equitable Compensation Fund line of $275,000 within Area I.
