The Conference Board of Trustees (CBOT) oversees the real property and other assets entrusted to the Annual Conference, holding a fiduciary role under United Methodist polity and secular law. It is made up of twelve laity and clergy members.
United Methodist Center. A year after conference offices relocated to the new conference-owned United Methodist Center in Duluth, the building has hosted Thriving Leadership Initiative meetings, Wellroot's Reaching Teens Summit, Board of Ordained Ministry interviews, Discipleship Ministries' Bridging Visions event, and many other gatherings. It is now the permanent home of the conference Mission Hub.
Park Eye Fund. CBOT oversees the Louise D. Park Eye Fund, which partners with the Emory Eye Clinic to provide eye care for those who could not otherwise afford it. $14,352 was disbursed for three individuals in the past year; $877,497 over 2019–2025.
Closed-church property (Barnes Fund). In its required October 2025 review, CBOT kept the Barnes Fund distribution of church-property sale proceeds unchanged: BEAT innovative-ministry grants 5%, emerging-congregations grants 40%, ethnic-ministries funding 7.5%, church-property revitalization district grants 35%, Methodist Center property reserves 10%, and contingency/lawsuit funding 2.5%. CBOT also weighed a BEAT Team recommendation on unifying North and South Georgia funds for BEAT grants.
